چکیده
Abstract There is a growing interest among vegetable growers in using locally available media hydroponic production. This study assessed the growth and yield of pechay, nutrient solution consumption plant, its quality different (foam, coco peat, raw rice hull, saw dust, vermicompost, composted straw, hull) Kratky system at Institute Agriculture, Camiguin Polytechnic State College-Catarman Campus, Tangaro, Catarman, from June 10, 2021, until July 15, 2021. The was laid Randomized Complete Block Design with seven treatments three replications. Tukey’s Honest Significant Difference (HSD) used to compare significant differences between treatment means. Results showed that type did not significantly affect pechay performance, insect pests disease incidence, consumption, final solution. However, highly difference observed horticultural root development characteristics except for percentage per plant survival rate. In terms parameters, were number marketable non-marketable yields, weight harvest index. Our results use foam could be effectively increase production under system. organic (raw peat) also promising their performance. It can concluded affects system; however, potential these various should further tested verification.

Genetic relationships among turnip (Brassica rapa var. rapa) genotypes.
Turnip (Brassica rapa var. rapa) is one of the main vegetables consumed by people living in Eastern Anatolia in Turkey. In this region, farmers obtain their own seeds for production, which results in considerable morphological variability. We examined the genetic variation and relationships among 11 turnip genotypes sampled from diverse environments of the Erzurum region located in Eastern Anat...

The toxicity and effects of di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP), an endocrine disruptor, on the growth of Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa var. chinensis) were studied. Etiolation occurred on leaves of Chinese cabbage plant treated with 50mg/L of DBP for 42 d. DBP even below 1mg/L had a significant effect on the concentration of chlorophyll in Chinese cabbage and the biomass showed a severe decrease under...
متن کاملEffects of Foliar Selenite on the Nutrient Components of Turnip (Brassica rapa var. rapa Linn.)
We administered foliar applications of 50, 100, and 200 mg L-1 selenium (Se, selenite) on turnip (Brassica rapa var. rapa Linn.) and detected the changes in the main nutrient components in fleshy roots. Results showed that the foliar application of Se (IV) significantly increased the Se content in turnip, and Se (IV) positively affected the uptake of several mineral elements, including magnesiu...

Genome wide transcription analysis in response to stresses is essential to provide the basis of effective engineering strategies to improve stress tolerance in crop plants. In order to perform transcriptome analysis in Brassica rapa, we constructed a B. rapa oligo microarray, KBGP-24K, using sequence information from approximately 24,000 unigenes and analyzed cold (4 degrees C), salt (250 mM Na...

In order to study the effects of different salinity levels on turnip (Brassica rapa L.), an investigation was conducted at Yasouj University, Iran, in 2010. The effects of four salinity levels including 1.92, 9.87, 19.6 and 21.94 ds m-1 (20:1 ratio of NaCl: CaCl2 in Hoagland solution) on germination, vegetative and maturity stages of turnip (Baherghan landrace) were investigated. The results re...
